Hello—I am the founder of Tietoe. This is the story of the birth of my Tietoe.

One summer, I first heard the soft “pop… pop…” of plastic balls echoing through the park near my house. A middle-aged couple was playing a sport that looked like a gentler version of tennis. I stood watching for a few minutes until one of them turned and smiled, “Want to try?” I nodded. Three minutes later, I was captivated by this sport.
I started like any beginner: borrowing a paddle, getting used to the ball, fumbling with the rules and scoring. What fascinated me was not only how the game got me moving and working up a sweat—it was the connection. On the court, age, jobs, and skill level didn’t matter. We were just four people cheering each other on: “Nice shot!” “Great match!” I went home to look things up—YouTube, blogs, and reviews about Pickleball. The more I read, the clearer the gap became: too many beginners felt lost in a forest of products, specifications, and technology. I thought, If there were a place that was always simple, transparent, easy to understand, and treated players like close friends—that would be wonderful. The idea of owning a Pickleball store began to take shape.

Time passed; I grew up and became a strong regional athlete, and my startup ideas never stopped. I both studied and worked around pickleball courts, learning everything after gaining experience and grasping all the factors needed to start a business. On June 18, 2015, with support from my family and a bank loan, I opened my Pickleball store and named it Tietoe. The goal was very simple: help players easily find quality paddles, balls, bags, and accessories at reasonable prices—while building a positive, connected community around this sport.

As local participation increased, sales increased as well. I focused on:

Product quality: Durable, well-balanced equipment for beginners to advanced players.

Reasonable pricing: Many options from budget to premium.

Brand trust: Consistent quality and fast customer support.

Community: Sponsoring local events and tournaments to bring players together.

On-court partnerships: Providing facilities to showcase products and support stable demand.

As online shopping accelerated, in-store traffic decreased. By the end of 2023, foot traffic dropped sharply. In 2024, I decided to close the traditional stores. In 2025, I fully switched to online sales—serving users nationwide with clear product images, detailed specifications, and convenient delivery.

Today, Tietoe operates online only at tietoe.com, providing carefully curated equipment for performance and value.
